Is there a right way or wrong way to do something? Not necessarily but there is a way that logical, gives good result and less headaches and this is what this blog is truly about.
I've had a wide and varied range of educational experience so far as sewing goes from learning from my mum to home economics class in New Zealand to fashion classes at a community college to studying at FIDM.
Each one added to my knowledge base though I eventually ended up being a nurse.
I have put sewing on the back burner to focus on knitting but now I am back to my first love I am frustrated at the information out there for new seamstresses. There seems to be a big focus on "vintage" techniques. Long laborious processes that don't add to the garment or guarantee good results. I feel like jumping through the computer and screaming that something is sew unnecessary.
So the concept of my blog is that I will present the typical or textbook way of sewing a certain detail with the way that I do it. Compare and contrast and make up your own mind of what is Sew Right or Sew Wrong.
